Reworking my initial Ch. 4 draft
Thanksgiving break gave me the time to redo the first section of Chapter 4. I worked almost every day and was able to produce something new, different from what I had done before. And most of all, I was able to create a preliminary mathematics discourse model, one that might have many changes as I analyze more data. This discourse model is just the begining, patterns are just starting to take form. However, with the help of Gee's building tasks, data allowed me to answer five basic questions: who, what, when, where, and most importantly how; that is, how mathematics knowledge was constructed in the discussion forum.
I can say I had a 'perfect' week! I took time for my family, for work, and for myself!
